Fani Kayode eulogizes Wike for ‘standing with Rivers people’

A former minister of aviation, Femi-Fani Kayode, has hailed the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for standing with Rivers People following the killings by the Nigerian Army in Abonnema, Akuku-Toru local government area of the state.

The minister in a twitter post on his official twitter handle was reacting to the claims by the Nigerian Army that the governor tried to compromise security during the presidential and national assembly elections.

The army, in a press briefing by its deputy spokesman, Col Aminu Iliyasu, on Tuesday accused the governor of vote buying.

The army also paraded a commissioner, a lawmaker and other government officials during the briefing.

But Kayode was in Wike’s defence, praising him for his doggedness in defending Rivers people.
