Muwan Owon Etete, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has been shot dead by unknown gunmen on Saturday.
It was gathered that Etete was shot dead alongside his elder brother in their hometown of Ataba in Andoni Local Government Area of the State.
Another of his relation simply identified as Ignatius was also killed.
Chris Finebone, the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State blamed the Peoples Democratic Party for the killings.
He stressed that the local government where the killings occurred is where the current national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party hails from.
Nnamdi Omoni, the public relations officer of the Rivers State Police command confirmed the development.
He said that Police are on the trail of the killers, adding that they will be made to face the wrath of the law.
