PCC commissioner urges NSCDC to step up fight against pipeline vandalism

The Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission in Rivers State, Mr Marshal Israel has called on the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) to be more proactive in tackling pipeline vandalism, oil bunkering and to protect national infrastructure and assets in Rivers State.

Speaking during an interactive session with the command, Mr Marshal stressed that the rate of pipeline vandalism is on the increase and needs to be kept in check.

He also highlighted the need for Rivers people to be law abiding in order to safeguard the ecological system. Furthermore, he called on Rivers people to embrace the use of alternative dispute resolution in resolving disputes and conflicts in various parts of the state.

He equally called for effective and responsive inter-agency collaboration amongst Federal government agencies in Rivers State.

On his part, the State commandant of the NSCDS promised that the commission will continue to ensure that the law is kept.
