We are more concerned with women development – Banigo

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has said the Nyesom Ezenwo Wike led Administration will continue to support the development of women in the State.

Dr. Banigo stated this while playing host to three Female former Care Taker Committee Chairmen of Degema, Obio Akpor and Ogu Bolo Local Government Areas at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday.

She said as former Care Taker Committee members of Local Government Areas they are expected to use their political exposure to sensitize members of their Constituencies and Senatorial Districts to use their PVCs to re-elect Governor Wike in 2019, noting that the Governor has delivered on his campaign promises to the Rivers People.

According to the Deputy Governor who described Governor Wike as gender friendly said, women are important to the Administration, not just because they are more in number in terms of population, but because when women are placed in decision making positions in the family, child and gender issues are placed in the front burner.

In their various responses, Mrs. Okorite Carrie Adiele, former CTC Chairman Degema, Mrs Goodness Clinton Amadi, former CTC Chairman, Obio Akpor, and Mrs. Mary Minasie Chinbo expressed gratitude to Governor Wike for finding them worthy to be appointed, said his gender friendly disposition is unparalleled in the annals of our history.
