NIRSAL Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Omosimisola Christabel Ojumu as its new Executive Director, Technical.
Ojumu is an investment banker and corporate finance professional with about 20 years of experience spanning capital raising, transaction structuring, investment origination and the execution of complex financial transactions across the banking, manufacturing and financial services sectors.
Throughout her career, she has built and managed investment pipelines, mobilised capital, developed institutional relationships and negotiated transactions involving diverse counterparties and financing structures.
Her experience is expected to strengthen NIRSAL’s commercial and investment capabilities as the company works to facilitate greater private-sector capital flows into Nigeria’s agriculture sector.
Ojumu joins NIRSAL from CapitalSage Holdings Limited, where she served as Managing Director, Investment Banking, for three years.

Before that, she held senior positions including Vice President, Sales at ABSA Group Nigeria; Associate, Equity Sales at Renaissance Capital; and Head, Institutional and Corporate Sales at CardinalStone Partners Limited.
At NIRSAL, she will oversee technical functions and relationships involving agribusinesses and agricultural value chains, as well as banks and other financial institutions.
Her responsibilities will include applying her expertise in investment banking, transaction structuring and capital mobilisation to support NIRSAL’s efforts to expand sustainable access to commercial financing for Nigeria’s agriculture sector.
Ojumu is a graduate of the University of Lagos and Lagos Business School. She is also an Authorized Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Exchange Group, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, United Kingdom.
Her appointment is expected to further strengthen NIRSAL’s executive leadership under Mr. Sa’ad Hamidu as the company seeks to build on its recent growth, enhance its value proposition and consolidate its position as Africa’s pioneer agricultural credit risk-sharing institution.
