Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has inspected the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026.
The inspection comes as preparations gather pace for the rally, which is expected to attract APC supporters from across Rivers State.
Wike’s inspection was captured in a video shared on Friday by his aide, Lere Olayinka, showing the minister walking around the stadium alongside other officials ahead of the event.
The stadium has been decorated with red carpets and floral arrangements, while large APC banners welcoming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have been mounted around the venue. Campaign vehicles bearing Tinubu’s photographs and APC insignia were also seen within the stadium premises.
Preparations were also ongoing at the venue, with workers attending to the stage, seating arrangements and other facilities ahead of the rally.
Wike said the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium was chosen because of its capacity to accommodate the large crowd expected at the event.
The minister projected that more than 70,000 people would attend the rally, although the stadium has a seating capacity of about 40,000.
He also pointed to the mobilisation across Rivers State and decorations along major roads as signs of preparations for Tinubu’s visit.
The rally forms part of the APC’s activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Rivers State serving as a major location for the party’s campaign mobilisation in the South-South region.
