Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with the faction of the party associated with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has died.
Orbih died on Monday, August 31, 2026, according to a statement issued by his family. The family described his death as a painful loss, saying it accepted the development in total submission to the will of God.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Orbih; his children, Ms. Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr. Mildred Omonemi Orbih; his siblings and other members of the extended family.
The statement, signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih on behalf of the family, appealed to relatives, friends and well-wishers to remember the family in their prayers during the mourning period.
The family said details of the funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.
