NAFDAC has started an operation to remove small sachet alcoholic drinks and PET bottles that are less than 200ml from stores everywhere.
This operation is happening in all six parts of the country. It is because the Federal Government said no to making bringing in sharing, selling and using these drinks. They also said factories that do not listen must be closed.
The people in charge at NAFDAC say their teams are already working. They are going to markets, bus stations, shops, bars and other places where people buy things to find and take away the banned drinks.

NAFDAC is telling the people who make bring in share, sell and move these drinks to give up any that they still have. If someone is found with these drinks or selling them they will be taken away. The person will be in trouble with the law.
NAFDAC wants to stop people from drinking too much. These small drinks are cheap and easy to get so children and young people like them.
NAFDAC needs help, from Nigerians. They should not buy the banned drinks. They should tell NAFDAC if they see someone still making, sharing or selling them. People can go to the NAFDAC office to report this.
