The entire entertainment industry is structurally engineered for self-worship, and veteran Nollywood actor Jim Iyke labels that exact dynamic as demonic.
In a blunt critique of his own professional world, the movie star argues that showbiz naturally forces creatives into ego-driven traps that completely empty the space of any genuine spiritual grounding.
While on an interview with music journalist Joey Akan, Iyke revealed in details how the industry changes people. He argued that the creative world naturally tempts individuals to view themselves as demigods, creating an environment where personal fame completely eclipses spiritual grounding. “There is no bigger enabler than the entertainment industry,” Iyke stated, pointing out how easily creatives fall into the trap of self-deification.
“This is where demons live. Entertainment is totally made and orchestrated to extol the virtues of Satanism. Balancing creativity with faith requires intense intentionality in a space like that,” Iyke openly admitted to falling into the ego trap early in his own career, remembering times when fans would literally weep upon his arrival into a room, a level of adulation he now recognizes as a completely toxic delusion.
”I look at them and I think I am special. No, you are not,” Iyke stated, as he urged industry insiders to abandon the idea that they are above the law or above regular people. According to him, true significance has nothing to do with celebrity worship, but rather with maintaining a relationship with God in a workspace that feels entirely empty of divine presence.
