The federal government has introduced a platform powered by artificial intelligence, designed to enhance citizens’ access to government information and public services through WhatsApp and the web.
Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, revealed the initiative in a post on X on Thursday, characterizing it as a move towards more inclusive and technology-oriented governance.
He stated that the platform—GovGuideNigeria—is accessible in English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba, and can be utilized through WhatsApp and web interfaces.
”Today, we launched #GovGuideNigeria, an AI-driven platform aimed at simplifying, accelerating, and making access to government information more inclusive for every Nigerian,” Tijani remarked.
He elaborated that the platform links users to information from over 35 federal ministries and more than 60 government agencies, aiding in overcoming language barriers and enhancing public service delivery.
