Dispute over blood-stained trouser delays Ifeanyi Dike’s trial

Ifeanyi Dike who is standing trial for allegedly killing an eight-year-old Victory Chikamso for ritual purposes has denied owning a bloodstained trouser found in his room during the police investigation.

During cross-examination, a prosecution witness and one of the investigating police officers in the matter, Festus Ilerhunwno said the first defendant, Ifeanyi Dike accompanied the investigating team to his house and admitted ownership of the bloodstained trouser.

But lawyer to Ifeanyi Dike, Lezina Amegua insisted that the IPO is yet to convince the court on the real owner of the bloodstained trouser.

Justice Adolphus Enebeli of a state high court in Port Harcourt, however, adjourned the case till the 1st of August, 2018 for the continuation of cross-examination.
