Emeka Rollas, the head of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has publicly challenged senior figures in Nollywood who he claims have knowledge of alleged substance abuse by actress Regina Daniels.
The AGN President issued this statement through his official Instagram account to confront what he described as a wave of “many allegations, misconceptions, and unnecessary accusations” circulating within the industry.
Rollas disclosed that Senator Ned Nwoko holds the position of Chairman on the AGN’s Board of Patrons, while Regina Daniels and her mother, Rita Daniels, are also members. He noted that he has been persistently urged by many to comment on the very public conflict between the Daniels family and Senator Nwoko.
Asserting his duty to be transparent, Rollas explained that “I owe it to myself, to the Guild and to the public to speak the truth clearly and responsibly.”
In his statement, he specifically identified veterans Jide Kosoko, Sanni Danja, Okey Bakassi, Charles Inojie, and Chinyere Wilfred as individuals who have reportedly witnessed the actress allegedly using illicit substances on film sets. He questioned their decision to remain quiet on the matter, stating they were all aware that Regina needed assistance.
“For years, the Board of Trustees has allowed me to stand at the frontline of battles, while they protect their reputations from behind. Many senior colleagues know the truth surrounding recent events, yet they have remained silent,” Rollas stated.
He continued with a direct appeal, saying, “I am calling on those who were present at the last series shoot and fully aware of what is happening. Okey Bakassi, Charles Inojie, Chinyere Wilfred, Jide Kosoko, and Sanni Danji. You were all on set during the last production in question. You saw things firsthand, regarding Regina and we all know she needs help. Your silence is unfair, and it leaves me exposed to attacks for matters I did not create.”
The AGN President also provided context about a prior incident, revealing, “While we were planning our roundtable meeting in South Africa, Senator Nwoko called me and gave me a condition that he would only allow Regina to travel if I promised she wouldn’t travel through Lagos. This is a fact, and I state it because it has been twisted against me repeatedly.”

Actress Regina Daniels has clapped back at the AGN president for his assertion that she requires help.
Responding directly to Emeka Rollas’s lengthy Instagram post from Thursday—in which he also advised Rita Daniels to focus on her daughter’s well-being over a political run for the AGN presidency—the actress expressed her outrage. Addressing the claim that she needs assistance, Regina Daniels responded, “Respectfully, there must be something wrong with you, sir, to say I need help?”
In a series of posts on her Instagram story, she accused Rollas of being an ineffective leader and alleged financial impropriety during his tenure. “I say you are a disgrace of a president who just visits one office to another, enriching his pocket under the guise of catering to the wellbeing of actors,” she wrote.
She further alleged that his comments were motivated by a personal grievance, stating, “Well, I’m not shocked because that is how you get paid—bringing women to my family home several times to take swimming lessons, which I warned you about—hence your bitterness.”
