The lingering criminal case involving former top officials of Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State has been struck out following an amicable settlement between the parties.
The case, filed under suit number PMC/882C/2025, had accused Hector Ekeakita Aloni Olodi, the former Chief Security Officer of the council, and others of assault occasioning harm against the former Sole Administrator, Hon. Goodluck Iheanacho.
In a certified court document dated 6 October 2025 and signed by Fiene Jumbo, Assistant Chief Registrar I, the Chief Magistrate Court presided over by His Worship O.N. Worlu-Omodu Esq ordered that the matter be struck out after both parties informed the court that they had reconciled.
According to the record, the State Legal Officer, N.S. Onwochei Esq, representing the State CID, informed the court that the parties had reached a peaceful resolution. The court also noted the oral confirmation by the nominal complainant, Hon. Iheanacho, affirming the settlement.

Counsels present during the proceedings included Uwumazhiniye Udogadi Esq for the defendants and F.A. Nmekini Esq, who held a watching brief for the complainant.
The magistrate, after hearing from all sides, ruled, “Due to the information given by the State Legal Officer that the parties have settled and the oral oath submission from the nominal complainant, Hon. Goodluck Iheanacho, this case is hereby struck out and the defendants discharged.”
