Port Harcourt Customs Command Decorates Promoted Officers

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Port Harcourt Area 1 Command, has held a colourful ceremony recently to decorate officers who were recently promoted.

According to a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC I Barilule Aanee posted on social media platforms on Saturday said the event, held at the Command’s Conference Hall, honoured officers moving across various ranks, from Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) down to Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II).

The exercise highlights the Command’s commitment to boosting officer morale and improving service efficiency. Comptroller Salamatu Atuluku, the Customs Area Controller, presided over the event and congratulated the officers.

She described the promotion as a celebration of the officers’ “sacrifice, loyalty, and years of dedicated service.” However, she reminded the promoted personnel that their elevation comes with a higher expectation of duty.

“The promotion you wear today is not only a recognition of what you have done but also a challenge to continue serving with commitment, integrity, and diligence,” Atuluku stated.

The Comptroller also extended her appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the NCS Management Team for overseeing a fair and motivating promotion process.
