MultiPass is a newly launched charging feature by Tesla that simplifies the use of third-party charging stations for its customers.
Tesla unveiled a feature called MultiPass on Tuesday, enabling users to charge their Tesla vehicles at non-Tesla charging stations more conveniently through their Tesla account. This eliminates the need for multiple apps, cards, or accounts for each charging provider, as everything is handled via the Tesla app or the driver’s existing Tesla key card.
The announcement of this update was made in a brief 17-second video shared by the TeslaCharging X account. It will initially be available in the Netherlands, with plans for expansion to additional countries in the near future.
A video lasting seventeen seconds was posted on the TeslaCharging Twitter account, during which the update was announced.
To begin using this feature, drivers can locate available chargers within the Tesla app and initiate a charging session either through the app or their Tesla key card. They can also monitor their charging history in the same application.

This integration alleviates the burden of managing multiple accounts, payment information, or waiting for physical charging cards to be delivered by mail.
Charging fees at third-party stations are still determined by the pricing of that provider. However, payments are automatically processed through the default payment method set in the Tesla app.
With the introduction of MultiPass, you can use your Tesla account to charge at non-Tesla charging stations.
Simply activate your Tesla key card or utilize the Tesla App to commence charging at non-Tesla chargers. You can find chargers, start charging, and review your charging history all in one convenient location.
