You reall that five months ago, a Dutch expatriate who was the MD/CEO of the Rivers State Cassava Project Limited, Mr. Gibson Reuben, while trying to escape from kidnappers in a Hilux vehicle, lost control and plunged into same river and was reported dead.

Though efforts made by our correspondent to reach the state police authority for comments proved abortive.

There have been complaints on the Aleto bridge, with several appeals to the relevant authorities to put the bridge in good shape.

The bridge had long been viewed as a death trap, yet government continues to ignore all appeals relating to the fixing of the bridge.
