Omega Power Ministries (OPM) has assisted in the accommodation of Nigerians who have returned from South Africa by offering free lodging and education services.
This was done as part of a resettlement program which was carried out in Port Harcourt.
Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who is the Founder and General Overseer of OPM, welcomed the second group of returnees at the church headquarters on Friday and assured them of their accommodation in an estate rent free which has been purchased by the church.
According to him, the people will be offered medical services at OPM free hospitals and their children will be admitted automatically in any of the 43 free schools which the ministry has. A bus has been bought to facilitate the transportation of children to school and church services as well.

Chinyere explained that this has been done in response to the problems faced by some Nigerians in returning to their homes following loss of businesses in South Africa.
“Many of them have homes, marriages, children in school and businesses in South Africa. They have built their lives there and fear returning to Nigeria with nothing waiting for them,” he said.
It should be noted that all new arrivals are medically screened in OPM Hospital before their resettlement. Their wives are supported in starting up businesses.
The cleric also outlined a skills acquisition program for males that have lost their source of livelihoods in South Africa, via the OPM Multi-Skill Acquisition Centre.
Chinyere asked for assistance from state and federal governments, as well as other bodies, saying that with the expansion of the humanitarian program, it has become very capital-intensive.
There will be more returnees expected in the next few days because of the expanded welfare programs of the ministry.
