Nigerian content creator and skit maker Kemi Ikuseedun, who is also known as Kemz Mama or Mummy Wa, talked about her relationship status and why she hasn’t married yet as she turns 30.
She explained that she hasn’t found a man she really feels is right for her. She said she often gets emotionally attached to characters from screen and TV shows. This has been a bit of a mirage that has kept her for long, hoping to meet one of her on screen love.
She said that the reason she’s still single is because she shared her affection with fictional characters.
Mummy Wa further explained that even though she was passionately in love with a Korean actor it’d still be difficult to end up with him. “Where are we going to see him? I am close to 30 years old, and I am still waiting for Lee Min Ho.”
On the other hand, she expressed her pessimism asking, “What if I actually meet Le Min Ho in real life and he’s not the same as the character in ‘Boys Over Flowers’?”
This discovery connects to the movie titled My Sunshine, a Nigerian-Korean movie, which merged artists from Nigeria and South Korea, featured Mummy Wa, in the title role. Because she appeared on a Korean-themed show and many young Nigerians are fans of Korean dramas, her discussion about loving despite the genre really resonated with many.
It also highlights the widespread popularity of Korean drama series in Nigeria. Despite the fact that they are not totally realistic, many people still find pleasure in watching movies or TV shows with nice, caring, romantic male actors.
