The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has unveiled the Project WADORE Human Capital Development Training Programme in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, reaffirming its drive to strengthen technical capacity within Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Speaking on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Mrs. Tarilate Teide-Bribena, Manager of Human Capital Development, said the initiative was designed to close the gap between academic knowledge and industry-ready expertise.
She described the programme as a critical investment in developing the next generation of skilled professionals who will support Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape.

Teide-Bribena commended Chevron Nigeria Limited for its long-standing collaboration with the Board, noting that such partnerships remain central to building a robust local workforce. She also applauded the Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN) for maintaining strong training standards that align with the Board’s human capacity objectives.
Addressing the 41 trainees selected for this phase, she urged them to uphold discipline, commitment, and a strong work ethic, stressing that they represent the Board’s vision for excellence in the sector.
Representatives from Chevron and Geoscape delivered goodwill messages, while participants received an overview of the training curriculum, code of conduct, and undertook an oath of commitment to the programme.
The launch of Project WADORE underscores NCDMB’s continued push to expand Nigeria’s technical talent base and strengthen indigenous participation in the oil and gas value chain, ensuring the industry remains competitive and future-ready.
