The Obio/Akpor Local Government Area (LGA) and the Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB) are collaborating to revamp the Primary Health Care Centre in Ogbogoro as part of efforts to provide quality healthcare services in the Local Government Area.
The Chairman of the council, Hon. Gift Worlu, said so recently while inspecting the site of the ongoing rehabilitation works at the facility.
The Ogbogoro PHC is the fourth healthcare facility being upgraded under a counterpart funding arrangement between the council and the RSPHCMB.

Hon. Worlu, who was accompanied by the Executive Director of the RSPHCMB, Prof. Chituru Adiele, inspected the project to evaluate the progress of work and was delighted with the quality of the work done so far.
He also praised the contractors for their compliance with the required standards while assuring all residents of Ogbogoro and its surrounding communities that the project would be completed on time.
The chairman said the revitalisation programme was part of his administration’s efforts to boost primary healthcare delivery and make sure residents have access to quality healthcare services in their communities.
He further stated that the council remains committed to improving healthcare services and the overall well-being of the people of Obio/Akpor.
