Dangote Names Refinery Access Road After President Tinubu

The wealthiest Black person in the world, Aliko Dangote, on Thursday named the main access road to the Dangote Refinery in Lagos after President Bola Tinubu.

The 68-year-old businessman made the announcement during the official commissioning of the Deep Sea Port Access Road in Lagos State, the infrastructure linking the Dangote Fertiliser Plant to Eleko Junction.

Dangote, the founder and CEO of the Dangote Group, praised Tinubu’s leadership as the former governor of Lagos State, describing him as both courageous and ambitious. He added that Tinubu’s administration had restored investor confidence in the private sector.

“The Dangote Refinery complex, in many respects, is a product of your vision. Mr President, I must mention that the main access road leading into the refinery will now bear the name Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road.”

He expressed optimism about the future, adding that with continued partnership and shared determination, the path ahead would bring even greater prospects for the nation and its people under Tinubu’s bold and visionary leadership.

“Mr President, you have shown remarkable courage as a leader. Please keep up the excellent work. We appreciate your support and encouragement. Without a doubt, this has strengthened our resolve to do more in backing your administration,” he added.

Dangote revealed that the deep-sea port access route is part of a broader initiative comprising eight significant road projects, covering a combined distance of 500 kilometres. Among them are two strategic routes in Borno State intended to enhance connectivity between Nigeria and its neighbours, Chad and Cameroon.

The renamed road runs through the Epe–Ijebu-Ode corridor and links directly to the Sagamu–Benin Expressway, serving as a vital artery for commercial transport and regional trade.
