Liverpool Football Club (LFC) right-winger, Mohamed Salah, has been named the 2024/25 English Premier League (EPL) Player of the Season.
The Egypt international, renowned for his strong attacking play, received the award after being voted the winner from an eight-man shortlist that included Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Morgan Gibbs-White, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, Declan Rice and Chris Wood.
Salah, who first won the award in 2018, has now become the fifth player to win it twice. He joins an elite group comprising Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidić, and Kevin De Bruyne.
The 32-year-old made 37 EPL appearances this season, scoring 28 goals and providing 18 assists, which played a key role in helping Liverpool secure the league title in April.
The former Chelsea player also set a new record for the most goal involvements in a single 38-game EPL campaign, with a total of 46. He surpassed Manchester City striker Erling Haaland who made history in his debut season.
Additionally, he surpassed former Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero to become the highest-scoring overseas player in EPL history.

Furthermore, on 9 May, Salah was named the winner of the Football Writers’ Association’s Men’s Footballer of the Year (FOTY) award. He became the second player after Henry to win the accolade three times.
Salah is expected to win both the Golden Boot and the Most Assists awards this season as Liverpool prepare to lift the trophy at Anfield on Sunday against Crystal Palace.
However, Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch also won this season’s Young Player of the Season award. The Dutchman beat fellow nominees Liam Delap, Anthony Elanga, Dean Huijsen, Cole Palmer, João Pedro, Morgan Rogers, and William Saliba.
Gravenberch received the award after votes from the public were combined with those from a panel of football experts to determine the best player who began the season aged 23 or under. Signed from Bayern Munich in 2023, Gravenberch was deployed in a deeper midfield role by head coach Arne Slot last summer and has since delivered a string of consistently impressive performances.
He started all 34 matches that saw Liverpool clinch the Premier League title.
