NDDC MD Urges Communities to Take Ownership of Development Projects

The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, has called on communities to take ownership of projects executed by the commission in their localities.

Speaking at the Ayakoro Cultural Festival in Ayakoro, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Dr. Ogbuku urged communities to collaborate with NDDC to drive sustainable development in the Niger Delta. He expressed concern over the lack of support from some communities but commended Ayakoro for donating land freely to the interventionist agency to aid development.

Chairman of the occasion and Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, emphasized the importance of rural development and encouraged the community to continue supporting the NDDC leadership to attract more projects.
