The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Amadi says the State Judiciary will map out a ten-year strategic plan for the Rivers State Multi-Door Court House for efficient resolutions of disputes.

Justice Amadi said this during the launch of the Volunteer Mediator Scheme by the Rivers State Multi-Door Court House in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Mediator and Conciliator.

He also advised Rivers people to take advantage of the Multi-Door Court House to settle disputes instead of the normal courtroom.

”It is my pleasure to inform you that the Rivers State Multi-Door Court House has fully commenced operations and some parties which cases were referred from the court have been amicably settled, In realizing the mission and objective of the centre we’re going to have a workshop for the development of a strategic plan for the centre”.

”It is our desire to have a strategic plan that shall run for ten years. We do not want the centre to experience retrogression when some of us must have retired from the service. Therefore we must have a solid strategic plan divided into years and months so that we can have achievements that can be measured over time” he said.

In his address, the Acting Director of Rivers State Multi-Door Court House, Victor Emeka-Nweke in said the platform will minimize frustration and delays in the justice delivery system.

In his comment, the President of the Institute of Chartered Mediator and Conciliator, Agada John-Elechi who was represented by Dr Ken Ayibaemi-Fashola said Alternative Dispute Resolution remains the easiest way to settle disputes anywhere in the world.
