It is not about unconsciously coming into the public space shouting “Wike, Wike,” or saying “Wike is our father,” or “Wike is our this and that.”
It is about whether you, as Kalabaris and Rivers Ijaws, are thinking, and whether you even possess the ability to study a man like him to identify or investigate why he succeeds in all he does, despite the public resentment against him.
The reason no Kalabari man can, for now, beat Wike is their inability to identify potential in humans and utilise that potential to their own advantage.
The average Kalabari leader is self-centred and greedy, caring only for himself without minding those he uses to advance his own growth.
Let us learn from Wike. Otherwise, your followers will remain slaves to you or will one day abandon you, while you will forever remain subordinate to people like Wike because of your inability to build and empower the potential around you.

Wike is succeeding in everything he does today despite public animosity against him because of his ability to identify potential in people who can be used for growth and advancement.
Therefore, let Kalabaris and Ijaws carefully study Wike. We should not just study him, but also learn how to sustain individuals who have the potential and ability to help us grow and advance to our next phase in life.
Kalabari socioeconomic and political elites should learn to build their loyalists and genuine supporters instead of simply using individuals with potential without giving them the space to breathe or showcase what they have to offer.
If Wike were just using people without rewarding them, do you think he would have come this far, where key figures, including you, remain loyal to him despite his controversial public record, with both good and bad sides?
Please, let us think, Kalabari and Rivers Ijaws.
