Rivers ADC Governorship Candidate, Sir Dr. Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson, has warned individuals who may attempt to rig the 2027 governorship election in Rivers State, saying he would personally pursue anyone caught altering or rewriting his election results.
Pidomson issued the warning while speaking on his preparations for the 2027 election, stressing the need for his supporters to mobilise, educate voters and protect their votes during the electoral process.
According to him, winning the election should not be the only focus, as his supporters must also ensure that their votes are protected and accurately reflected in the final results.
“We are also going to mobilise so that we can win. It should not stop there, to hope to win. Because if we stop there, we will now rely on the judiciary,” he said.
The ADC candidate said his campaign would focus on mobilising and educating the people, while urging supporters to remain vigilant throughout the election.
He further warned against attempts to manipulate election results, declaring that he would not rely solely on legal action if his mandate was allegedly tampered with.

“We are going to stop them from rigging, and if I catch anyone rewriting my results, I will come after you after the election. I won’t go to court. I will come after you,” Pidomson warned.
He said his confidence was based on what he described as growing support among Rivers residents for a change in the state’s political system.
“Because I’m confident, because I know that the people are behind change in our system. That’s why I’m confident. I know that people will come out,” he said.
Pidomson also linked his political ambition to what he described as the liberation of the people, maintaining that his struggle would not end immediately after the election.
The ADC candidate is expected to face other contenders in the 2027 Rivers State governorship election, as political parties intensify preparations and mobilisation ahead of the poll.
