Man kills mother, fries her brain in a pan

A has been arrested for brutally axing his mother to death and preparing to fry her brain in a pan to eat before being caught.

32-year-old Sitaram Iraon from the Botalda village in the Kharsia district of Raigarh, in Chhattisgarh, was accused of killing his 50-year-old mother, Phoolbai on Tuesday.

Iraon, who is said to often come home drunk and beat his mother, was outraged at being denied money for alcohol, local media reports.

Iraon who furiously denied the accusation was said to have taken a sharp weapon which he used to strike his mother in the skull, before taking out her brain and frying it in a pan.

His sister-in-law who was visiting their home when the incident happened reportedly witnessed the scene, which caused him to flee but was later tracked down and arrested on Wednesday.

While commenting on the matter, Police in a statement said the son is mentally unstable and was found hiding nearby the house, wearing blood-stained clothes.

Police said a criminal case had been filed against him.

Iraon’s younger brother said he tried to convince his sibling to stop drinking, but failing this, he moved out of the family home and left Iraon to live with their mother
