Man treks from Ahoada-West to Port Harcourt to celebrate Wike’s victory (Pictures)

One Mr Precious Umasoye Macforex who vowed to do a ‘Victory Walk’ for the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike if he is declared the winner of the March 9 gubernatorial election, has arrived Port Harcourt.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on April 3 declared Wike winner of election after a 23-day suspension due to violence by security officers on INEC staff.

In the declared result, Governor Wike scored 886,264 votes defeating his opponent Awara Biokpomabo of the African Action Congress AAC who scored 173,859 votes.

The State Collation Officer, Professor Teddy Adias, while declaring the winner of the governorship poll, said the winner emerged based on decision made by the Rivers electorates at the polling units to re-elect governor Wike as their governor.

According to him, total registered votes were = 3,048,741, Total no of accredited votes=1,130,445, valid votes=1,102,823, total vote cast=1,123,840, total votes cancelled=249,324.

Mr Macforex who started his trekking challenge from Ahoada-West arrived Port Harcourt on Friday where he was also welcomed to the government house Port Harcourt by governor Wike and other officials of the state government.
