The Rivers state government has reportedly revoked the earlier approved venue for the Starboy’s CEO, Wizkid concert which is in collaboration with Port-Harcourt born artiste Mr 2Kay.

The charity concert titled “God Can Bless Anybody” was originally scheduled to hold in the garden city on the 14th of December 2018 at the Yakubu Gowon stadium.

However, theportcitynews learnt that the concert has been moved to the Port Harcourt Polo Club after the government allegedly revoked the permission.

Sources knowledgeable of the matter told theportcitynews that the revocation was as a result of perceived political intrigue in the state.

One of the sources said that the state government got wind of attempt by the state chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, to campaign at the concert owing to the fact that the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, which is sponsoring the event and reportedly paid Wizkid and crew 30 million for appearance is also under the APC-led Federal Government.

The new venue is a 3000 capacity space compared to the 16,000 sitting capacity of the stadium.
