2019: Orduwa accuses Amaechi of causing crises in Rivers APC.

Crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State appears to have deepened as grassroots mobilisation arm of the party code-named M30 Worldwide has called on President Mohammadu Buhari to call the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to order.

M30 Worldwide’s reactions followed what it called uncomplimentary activities of the minister in the affairs of the APC in Rivers State.

In a statement dated April 11th, 2018, the President-General, M30 Worldwide, Sir Anosike Joseph Orduwa recalled that the minister in a meeting held at his residence in Abuja, had instructed and directed that LGA party chairmen should go back and remove any member of LGA executive that was not part of his campaign Free Rivers Development Initiative.

Orduwa also claimed that Amaechi further directed that any Ward Chairman or member of the Ward executive that was not part of Free Rivers Development Initiative should be removed equally from the list of the executive at the Ward levels.

The M30 Worldwide President-General said the party was facing serious crisis as a result of Amaechi’s activities in the state.

He also alleged that the Director-General of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Adol Peterside reportedly took 50 chairmen of the party to an undisclosed location where he claimed that money exchanged hands, apparently to ensure that the biddings of the Transportation Minister was carried to the letter.

Worried over the Amaechi’s induced crisis in Rivers APC, Orduwa called on Amaechi to “stop exerting corrupt influences on party executives at all levels in Rivers State.

“The minister should also be called to order not to act as a clog in the wheel of internal democracy which is cherished and respected in the APC.”

He however, called on APC officials at the state, LGAs and Ward levels not to entertain any fear, but to be steadfast in the ideals of the party as “we are determined to canvass for internal democracy in the party.”
