Tiwa Savage Gives Peek On Love Life, Work, And Teen Experience

Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage recently opened up in two revealing interviews, shedding light on both her past and present.

Speaking candidly on Beat FM, Tiwa shared some of her most personal experiences related to love and work.

Reflecting on one of the boldest gestures she’s made for love, she confessed, “If I’m into someone, I’m really into the person. I have pulled up at your house unannounced. I may not be as savage as people think.”

However, Tiwa’s fierce drive comes alive in her career, where she leaves no room for half-measures. “I’m a beast when it comes to my work. I will call you 20 times if something needs to get done. And I will find a way to make it happen. That is where the savagery kicks in,” she shared.

She also described this phase of her life as her “Phoenix era,” a symbol of her growth and resilience after facing personal challenges. With a phoenix tattoo on her neck, Tiwa explained, “I have gone through the fire, and it is like a reinvention. I am coming out stronger in terms of love, heartbreak, and where I am in life. I’m now at a stage where I accept certain things, set boundaries, and be happy with my achievements. This is the rebirth of Tiwa Savage.”

In a separate interview with Capital Xtra in London, Tiwa reflected on her younger years and how she was bullied during her time at Clearmont High School. Now, she approaches those memories with a sense of humor and compassion. Sending a light-hearted message to those who bullied her, she said, “I just want to say to the girls that used to bully me, I love you. I mean it. Because I’m popular and rich now, so there’s no point.”
