Inspector testifies, accuses suspects of organ harvesting

By Tina Amanda

Inspector Stephen Ntibmouwei of the Anti-Cultism Unit, Rivers State Police Command, has testified in court, accusing Soniabari Sagha of collaborating with Confidence Kirinee, also known as General ILLA, in the brutal murder of pharmacist Muenalo Sunday.

During cross-examination, Inspector Ntibmouwei maintained that Sagha was among those who mutilated the victim, severing his manhood and other body parts for selfish purposes.

He further testified that the third defendant was involved in the killing, after which a ransom of ₦10,000 was taken. Sunday’s body, according to the inspector, was dumped in a well in a forest after his organs were removed.

The trial, presided over by Justice Augusta Kingsley-Chukwu, has been adjourned to November 14 and 20, 2024, for the final prosecution witness.

The case, now over five years old, involves four suspects—Confidence Kirinee, Precious Mona, Loveday Legah, and Soniabari Sagha—facing charges of murder, cultism, kidnapping, and illegal possession of firearms.
