Red Card movement of Nigeria kicks off in Port Harcourt

In line with their desire to bring about real change and sanitize the political system of the country, the Red Card Movement of Nigeria, a Non-Governmental Organization headed by Nigeria’s former Minister of Education, Madam Oby Ezekwesili, has kicked off it’s movement in Port Harcourt, and in extension, the Niger Delta region.

The group which prides itself as a revolutionist group aimed at rescuing the Nation from years of political decadence, says it came to Port Harcourt to spread it’s message to the people of the state and by extension, the Niger Delta.

Convener of the group, Madam Oby Ezekwesili, decried the failure of Government at all levels, including those from the APC and PDP stock at improving the welfare of the citizens despite the resources and funds they have at their disposal.

Madam Ezekwesili cited Singapore’s Lee kwan Yew as an example of a visionary leader who transformed the fortune of his country.

She urged Nigerian youths to make sure they get their PVCs and use same to vote out incompetent Government officials from both the PDP and APC who have failed to provide good governance for the Nigerian masses.

Co-Convener of the group, Aisha Yesufu, lamented the level of infrastructural decay across the country, citing the Port Harcourt International Airport as a typical example, as it was in a deplorable state and made her wonder if she was in Somalia.

The event saw registration of members with Mr. Elvis Oraka elected the Rivers State champion of the group.
