A man who was reportedly missing after allegedly being taken away by an unidentified person has been found dead at Onne Bus Stop in Rivers State.
The discovery has left his wife and neighbours in shock, after the deceased reportedly went missing without explanation.
A neighbour of the deceased, who spoke about the incident, said the man’s wife became worried after she could no longer find or reach her husband.
According to her, the wife told her that a man had come to their home and taken her husband away. She said the man later returned with the deceased’s iPhone but did not bring the man back.
The neighbour said the deceased’s wife later approached her in tears, saying she had not seen her husband.
“She told me that a man came and took her husband away. The man later came back and gave her husband’s phone, the iPhone. He also came back and asked her if she had seen her husband, but she told him no,” she recounted.

The neighbour said she advised the woman to report the matter at the nearest police station.
She said the woman subsequently went to the police station but returned crying after being informed that her husband had reportedly been found dead.
“I asked her what the problem was, and she said they told her that her husband was dead. I asked how, because she had not seen the body,” the neighbour said.
According to her, they later proceeded to the area around Onne Bus Stop, where they were informed that a covered body had been found.
She said she went to the location to confirm whether the deceased was indeed her neighbour.
“When we got there, they told us that somebody was lying there covered and that he was dead. So I came to this place to confirm whether it was the woman’s husband because he is my neighbour,” she said.
The neighbour described the deceased as a “very good neighbour,” expressing shock over his death.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death remain unclear, while further details are expected from the relevant authorities.
