Doyin Okupe resigns as Labour Party’s presidential campaign DG

Doyin Okupe, a former presidential aide, has stepped down as the campaign Director-general of the Peter Obi-Datti-Ahmed presidential campaign.

Okupe was on Monday convicted by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja for contravening the Money Laundering Act.

In a letter posted on his twitter handle, he said he was resigning from the position to clear his name.

He, however, affirmed his support for the Labour Party’s presidential campaign.
