Comrade Orwhokire Rhino, the Director of Youth Mobilization for Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Rivers State has been shot by gunmen.
Rhino, a former Student Union Government, SUG president of the University of Port Harcourt was shot in the mouth on Wednesday night.
Associates said he was shot in his community, Aluu in Ikwere Local Government Area.
The attack on Rhino comes barely five days after the home of the chairman of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organization, Senator Lee Maeba was attacked by hoodlums.
However, the state Commissioner of Police,Okon Effiong said Mr Maeba staged the attack on his house for political reasons.
Another high ranking member of the Atiku/Okowa Campaign council in Rivers State, Abiye Sekibo said on Monday that they might be forced to resort self-help if attacks on their members continue.
