Construction of Oloibiri Oil Museum on course – Sylva

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, has said the Federal Government is on course towards the actualization of the Oloibiri Oil Museum.

The Minister of State made this known at the NNPC Towers while playing host to a delegate of the Ogbia Brotherhood.

He submitted that the Oloibiri Museum project would soon be presented to the Federal Executive Council, assuring them that once the Federal Government commenced work, there would be no turning back.

He stated that plans have been put in place by the Federal Government to work with Bayelsa State Government, Shell Petroleum Development Company, Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board, and the Petroleum Technology Development Fund.

H.E. Timipre Syla pointed out that better days are ahead for the Niger Delta communities, stressing that the Federal Government would deepen engagement with the host community with details of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) reference to the 3% host community fund.

The group however honoured and decorated the Minister of State for his strides since assumption of office.
