Gunmen kill Nollywood actress in Delta

The fast-rising Nollywood actress, Ngozi Chiemeke has been shot dead by gunmen in Delta state.

Bright Edafe, the police public relations person (PPRO) in Delta, confirmed Ngozi’s death on Thursday, said the lady, who doubled as a point of sales (POS) operator, was killed at her shop on Tuesday along Deeper Life Road in Boji Boji, Owa, Ika North LGA.

The PPRO also said the command has commenced an investigation while efforts are being made to arrest the perpetrators.

Abubakar Yakubu, the national secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), also told TheCable Lifestyle that the guild’s chairman in Delta state has been making efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

“The Delta state chapter chairman is working on it to help us get details. It didn’t happen in Asaba,” Yakubu said.

“It happened in a remote town. So we’ve been trying to get information since yesterday, Wednesday.”
