A fifty-one year old mother of two, identified as Mrs Gladys Amadi has been paraded by the state criminal investigation Department (SCID)for allegedly murdering her husband, Mr Napoleon Amadi with a machete. The incident happened in a community in Etche local government area of Rivers state.
The suspect admitted to killing her husband after she was arrested yesterday, Wednesday 27th October by men of the state criminal investigation department of the Rivers state police command.
According to the spokesman of the Rivers state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, Mrs Amadi killed her husband with a machete while they were having a fight.
He also said that the suspect will be charged and arraigned in court after proper investigations have been done on the matter.
The mother of two said she allegedly killed her husband in self defense after they had an unsettling argument.
