Ogu rescues point for Be’er Sheva.

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu rescued his team from the brink of defeat on Sunday, when they faced Hapoel Haifa.

Haifa opened the scoring in the 24th minute through Alon Turgeman to peg back Be’er Sheva.

The second stanza resumed with the hosts searching for an equalizer, but it was Haifa that scored again in the 50th minute through Ben Basat.

And when it looked as if Be’er Sheva will have a record first defeat in play off, Ogu halved the scores in the 79th minute.

And on the stroke of 90th minute, the hosts leveled through an own goal from Ben Basat to get a point from the game.

The draw ensured that Be’er Sheva maintain their position on top of the play off table with 10 points.
