President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a special salary scale for teachers. The President has also increased the years of service for teachers from 35 to 40 years.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, on Monday in a speech he read while representing the President at an event to mark the World Teachers Day.
He said the new salary scheme is to motivate teachers for greater productivity and effectiveness.
