OYF suspends members from activities

The national executive council of Ogoni Youth Federation (OYF) has unanimously voted to suspend Dimkpa Kingsley and Lene Lekue Kingsley from its activities indefinitely.

The suspension comes after thorough deliberations on the petitions/complaints brought against the duo and examination of the recommendation of its Disciplinary Committee.

Comrade Yamaabana Legborsi, its President-General in a statement said that in compliance with Article 10 (c) of OYF Constitution, the suspension of the aforementioned executive members are borne out of the following:

  1. Conducting themselves in a manner capable of causing disaffection amongst members of OYF and in a manner likely to cause breach of peace or otherwise capable of exposing members of OYF to public ridicule, contempt or odium.

  2. Encouraging and counselling the formation of factions and divisions within OYF.

  3. Receiving gratifications and other inducement.

  4. Making false representation for the purpose of obtaining favour in the purported name of OYF.

“Consequent, the public is hereby admonished not to deal with the above suspended members of OYF on any business that has to do with Ogoni Youth Federation (OYF).

“Anybody who chooses to deal with them is at his/her peril”
