Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said the reason he criticised his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the was it was handling the candidacy of Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, is to ensure it does not create a problem for the judiciary.
He also denied allegations that he was the architect of the crises rocking the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking during an Arise TV programme on Saturday Night, Wike said that his criticism of his party was to ensure that it does not have the crises the ruling APC is currently having.
He also said that if his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, who is a serving minister of transportation in the APC joins the PDP and runs for the presidency come 2023, he will support him.
