Traditional Rulers Beg AAC candidate to withdraw suit against Wike

In line with the post-election peace initiative by the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, traditional rulers from kula kingdom in Akuku Toru local government area have appealed to the governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2019 general election, Biokpomabo Awara to withdraw his case at the tribunal challenging the outcome of the election.

The chairman of the Kula supreme council of traditional rulers, King Kroma Eleki and the secretary, King Bourdillon Ekine led other members of the council on a courtesy call on the African Action Congress, AAC, the candidate in Abuja.

The delegation appealed to the African Action Congress, AAC, governorship candidate, a native of Kula kingdom, to accept the olive branch of the governor in the overall interest of peace and development of rivers state.

The chiefs commended Governor Nyesom Wike for showing sincerity in his peace initiative and for pledging to involve the opposition in the governance of rivers state.

The African Action Congress, AAC, candidate, Biokpomabo Awara, assured the royal fathers that he would consult widely with the leadership of his party and other relevant stakeholders in the state on the appeal made to him to withdraw his case at the tribunal against the re-election of the governor before taking the decision on the matters.
