As part of its efforts to assist the underserved in the Nigerian communities, the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation in partnership with Kalabari National Association (KNA, USA) has set out plans to carry out a five-day Free medical mission in Bakana Town, Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.
A statement by the foundation which was made available to theportcitynews on Thursday said that the programme is expected to start on May 20- 24, 2019 from 8.00 am to 5:00 pm daily.
The Foundation also called on the people in the area and its environs to come out en mass and take advantage of the free medical mission.
It said that Medical Professionals from different areas of specialization such as Surgery, general medicine, paediatrics, ophthalmology, optometry and physiotherapy will be on ground at the Primary Health Care Centre Bakana Town and The Civic Centre Bakana to give free medical services.
The foundation explained that part of the services offered include:
1. General medical services
2. Paediatric care
3. Optometery/Eyecare including eye surgeries
4. Physiotherapy
5. Dental
6. General surgeries
7. On-site laboratory and Pharmacy
