Ikwerre Youths Movement sacks Nwanjoku as president-general

Ikwerre Youth Movement says it has sacked the Azubuike Nwanjoku-led executive.

The Movement in a statement made available to theportcitynews says Felix Worlu has assumed duty as the acting President-General.

The statement said the Nwanjoku-led executive was sacked due to gross misconduct, abuse of office and misappropriation of funds.

The statement read: “This is to inform the general public that the executives of Ikwerre Youth Movement (IYM) led by Hon. Azubike Nwanjoku has been dissolved at the general congress held yesterday Jan. 7th, 2019 at Isiokpo in Ikwerre local government area.

“This is due to established gross misconduct, abuse of office, misappropriation of funds, expiration of tenure and having exceeded the youth age, as a result, a new leadership has been appointed by the congress, to run the affairs of IYM led by Hon. Felix Worlu as President General.

“We appreciate the entire youths of Ikwerre for finding us worthy of this assignment as we pledge to ensure that the welfare of our people is given utmost priority, especially the areas of Job creation, Youth empowerment, Security, Education and the good of Ikwerre youths.

“In the coming weeks, the acting committee shall be set-up and inaugurated to support and enhance the administration of IYM across all department.

“We thank the former leadership for her cooperation and smooth handover of all properties and documents of IYM, we assure everyone that an investigative process will be carried out without any form of bias whatsoever.

@Therefore, we urge everyone to be law abiding and go about their responsibilities accordingly.
