Collapse building: Commission of Inquiry again extends dateline for submission of memoranda

The Judicial commission of inquiry set up by Governor Nyesom Wike to investigate the management of integrated medical industries limited auto-disable syringe factory and that investigating the immediate causes of the seven-storey building collapse in GRA phase 2 has announced an extension of the deadline for submission of the memorandum.

The Judicial Commission of Inquiry in a statement jointly signed by secretaries of the two judicial commission of inquiries, Chidi Adiele, and Egerton Madume said that the new deadline for submission of the memorandum is now 27th December 2018 as against the earlier announced 19th December deadline.

The statement explained that the extension which is the last one was due to demands by the general public especially professional bodies and relevant agencies embarking on investigation activities.

By this extension, the inaugural sitting of the commission of inquiry into the collapsed 7-storey building under construction in GRA, which was scheduled for 19th December has also been moved.
