The All Progressives Congress (APC) has proposed that President Bola Tinubu lead campaign rallies in 12 states ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the first scheduled to be held in Kaduna on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and the final rally planned for Lagos on Saturday, January 9, 2027.
The proposed schedule comes after Tinubu reportedly declared during the inauguration of the party’s campaign council that he would not be present in some states during the campaign.
The plan is contained in the APC’s “Nationwide Campaign Rally Schedule 2026–2027,” which outlines proposed campaign venues and dates from October 2026 to January 2027.
According to the document published on the party’s Facebook page on Friday, the schedule remains provisional and subject to possible changes.
Kaduna is listed as the first state where the President is expected to attend a rally, while Lagos will host what the party describes as the “Major Closing Rally.”
Both rallies carry the designation “President Visibility,” which the schedule explains indicates states where the President is expected to be physically present.
Other states where Tinubu is expected to attend campaign rallies include Rivers, Plateau, Oyo, Borno, Enugu, Bauchi, Sokoto, Delta, Kano and Adamawa.

The President is scheduled to attend a rally in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, followed by Jos, Plateau State, on Saturday, November 14.
The campaign is expected to move to Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 21, and Maiduguri, Borno State, on November 25. Enugu and Bauchi are scheduled for November 28 and 29, respectively.
In December, Tinubu is expected at rallies in Sokoto on December 4, Asaba, Delta State, on December 12, and Kano on December 17.
His final scheduled appearance before the Lagos closing rally is in Yola, Adamawa State, on Monday, January 4, 2027.
The proposed presidential campaign appearances cover all six geopolitical zones, with Kaduna, Sokoto and Kano representing the North-West; Maiduguri, Bauchi and Yola the North-East; and Jos the North-Central.
Ibadan and Lagos are listed for the South-West, Port Harcourt and Asaba for the South-South, while Enugu represents the South-East.
The document also outlines campaign rallies in other locations across the country, beginning with Calabar, Cross River State, on November 2, 2026, and ending with Owerri, Imo State, on December 30, 2026.
Although the schedule states that it covers the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, it lists Abuja for December 21, 2026, while Anambra State does not appear among the listed venues.
The APC emphasised that the timetable is not final, stating: “This is a proposed schedule and is subject to official confirmation.”
