The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Abinye Blessing Pepple, has provided additional welfare support worth N2.5 million to five elderly residents of the area.
Each of the five beneficiaries received N500,000 as part of the chairman’s continued efforts to support elderly citizens and improve their welfare.
The beneficiaries are Mrs. Patience R. I. Manilla Pepple, Isaac A. Pepple, Mrs. Matilda Omoni John-Jumbo, Grace Konye Jack Wilson Pepple and Mrs. Miranda Jumbo, formerly Pepple.

The financial assistance was presented on Thursday by Mrs. Rebecca Banigo, Protocol Officer II, Bonny Local Government Council, on behalf of the chairman.
The latest intervention brings further attention to the welfare needs of elderly residents in the local government, particularly those who may require additional financial assistance.
The Bonny Local Government Council said the support forms part of the chairman’s ongoing welfare initiatives targeted at elderly citizens in the area.
The council’s Office of Media and Communications disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
