Students of Community Secondary School (CSS) Pabod in Port Harcourt are speaking out over the demolition of a Junior Secondary School 2 (JS2) classroom block, which they say has disrupted learning conditions on campus.
The school’s Senior Prefect (Boy) said students have had to manage with more cramped classroom arrangements since the block was pulled down.
The Senior Prefect (Girl) added that the demolition also took out toilet facilities meant for that section, forcing students to now share the toilet serving the JSS1 block.

The Assistant Senior Prefect (Girl) echoed similar concerns, saying students are now left without adequate sanitary facilities and called for government intervention.
Another student leader pointed to broader space constraints, noting that parts of the school compound are also being used by a church for its programmes, further limiting room available to students.
The students are calling on relevant authorities to visit the school, assess the situation, and provide additional classrooms and sanitary facilities to ease the difficulties they currently face. CSS Pabod is described as a long-standing public secondary school in Port Harcourt.
